How we handle your data

Short version: we ask for the minimum we need to send you the session details and (rarely) tell you about the next one. We don't sell your data, and you can have it deleted in one email.

What we collect

When you register for a session, we ask for:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your country
• Your phone number (with country code)
• Your role / experience / company, optional, helps us know who we're building for
• Where you heard about us, optional

We also automatically log a hashed version of your IP address and your browser's user agent, used only for spam and abuse prevention (never tied to your profile).

What we do with it

• Email you the session details, confirmation, reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before, and a personal access link to the live session or venue details
• Run the session itself, your registration controls access to live streams and seats
• Understand our audience, aggregate counts of countries, roles, and experience levels guide what we run next; no individual profiling
• Send you a session recording — where a past session's replay is gated, registering is how you get the link. We use your email to send it, and your access link keeps working afterwards so you can return to it
• Newsletter (separate opt-in), only if you subscribed via the newsletter form; you can unsubscribe in one click from any newsletter email

Who sees it

Edler Hub, and the third-party services we use to deliver the platform:

• listmonk (self-hosted by Edler Hub on our own server): builds and queues confirmations, reminders and the newsletter. Stores your name, email, and any optional fields you gave us.
• Amazon Web Services (SES): delivers those emails. AWS handles your email address and the message content in transit. AWS privacy notice
• YouTube (Google): session recordings and live streams are hosted on YouTube and embedded on your access page. Opening a page with an embedded player discloses your IP address to Google and may set cookies on your device, under Google's terms, not ours. You can avoid this by not opening the player. • Cloudflare: DNS + WAF + Turnstile bot-check. Sees your IP for the duration of the page load. Cloudflare privacy
• Hostinger (the VPS host), provides the server that runs the site and database; standard hosting privacy applies

We do not share registrant data with session speakers or partners unless you opt in to that explicitly at registration.

Cookies

The public site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookie set on the public side is a Cloudflare Turnstile token to confirm you're a human submitting a form. Admin users get a session cookie (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax) used purely to keep them logged in.

How long we keep it

For as long as you want to hear from us. Reply to any of our emails with "remove me" and we delete you the same day. You can also use the deletion endpoint at any time, email techsessions@edlerhub.world with the email address you registered with.

Aggregate, anonymised counts (e.g. "number of registrants from each country in 2026") may be retained for reporting after deletion of personal data.

Your rights

Under India's DPDPA, the EU's GDPR, and similar laws elsewhere, you have the right to: see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, and object to its use. We action all such requests within 30 days; usually same-day for deletion. Email techsessions@edlerhub.world to exercise any of these rights.

Recordings

Some sessions are recorded (online ones, usually); some aren't (in-person workshops, for example). If a session is recorded and you join with mic or camera on, you're consenting to be in that recording. Lurk in chat or stay off camera if you'd rather not.

Recordings live on YouTube. Some are linked openly from this site; for others you register first, which is how we know to send you the link. A few are withdrawn at the host's request and are not published here at all. Registering to watch a replay creates a registration record exactly like registering for a live session, and the same rights below apply to it.

Because the videos are hosted on YouTube, asking you to register is how we stay in touch, not a technical restriction on the video itself.
